Social security
When Social Security is enabled for your organisation, the sidebar shows tools for certificates and cross-border mobility.
Overview
Social Security → Overview is the inbox for certificate and cross-border journey cases, with the same three segments as elsewhere:
- Dimmi is handling
- Needs attention — needs your input, or certificates expiring / expired
- Completed — issued certificates that do not need attention
Start a case opens types such as Business trip, Assignment abroad, A1, and S1 (when available).
Business trip vs work abroad
Choose the journey that matches what the person will do:
| Journey | Typical meaning |
|---|---|
| Business trip | Meetings, conferences, or training with no productive work for a local host. Entry/visa checks; host labour notification and A1 are usually not needed. You confirm there is no local work before starting. |
| Assignment abroad | They will perform work in the host country. Often starts an A1 path and shows host labour / other obligations based on country and dates. |
If a business trip turns into real work abroad, ask your Dimmi advisor to reclassify the journey. See also Business trip vs work abroad.
Ongoing cases
Social Security → Ongoing cases lists in-progress A1/S1-style cases and related journeys. Open a case for the tracker; click the person’s name for their profile.
Employees abroad
Social Security → Employees abroad lists people in the abroad / social-security domain. Columns typically include Location (where they are now) and Based in (employing legal-entity headquarters).
Add person abroad collects name, email, and travel details, then optionally starts an A1 case. People also appear under Workforce.
Global monitoring
Social Security → Global monitoring appears when your organisation plan includes this feature. It is the crisis / travel-advisory dashboard for international mobility. Colours often follow Danish MFA advisory levels — check your travel insurance rules before people travel. Without the feature, Global monitoring stays hidden.
Reports
Social-security report types under Admin → Reports only work when the matching workforce module is enabled. If a page says the module is off, ask your Dimmi contact or an admin.
